Katja Haustein (DE)

Katja Haustein was born and raised in East Berlin. She has been working with photography and poetry for over 10 years. She works mainly from a personal point of view, but her themes take part within the bigger social context. Katja uses photography as a tool to make emotions visible in a narrative and a direct way. She studied photography at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie und Gestaltung, Berlin. She is the co-founder of KLEISTER, a curatorial project, which organizes exhibitions in the public realm.

Katja and Hannah - her colleague with KLEISTER, was a contributer to the 2013 and 2014 Curatorial Marathon. In addition both Katja and Hannah are a continuing part of the project In Search of the Miraculous - an artist walk which is a significant part of the program that started in 2012.
