An Paenhuysen is a curator, art critic and art educator based in Berlin. She has curated various shows at the Hamburger Bahnhof—Museum of Con- temporary Art, Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien, insitu, Eigen + Art Lab, etc. She published a book on the Belgian avant-garde in the 1920s, co-edited a source book on the 1920s dancer Valeska Gert, and she wrote reviews for Spex, Sleek Magazine, Contemporary And. An especially likes blogging on art and she does so on her blog anpaenhuysen.blogspot.com. She is a lecturer for Node Center for Curatorial Studies, where she teaches on art criticism and creative forms in art writing.
