Claire Laude has been living and working in Berlin since 1998 as an architect, photographer and curator. In 2001 and 2006 she studied photography under Jörn Vanhöfen in the school Fotografie am Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin. For three years she was in Arno Fischer’s masterclass at Ostkreuzschule fur Fotografie in Berlin. Her work has been exhibited in France, Germany and other interna- tional countries. In 2010 her book Berliner Jahrhundertläden, was published by Lehmstedt Verlag, Leipzig, with texts written by Sabine Zimmer.
In 2010, Claire co-founded and became a member of the collective and ex- hibition space exp12 in Berlin. In 2013 she studied curation at the University of Arts in Berlin.
Claire’s photographic work questions the presence and the absence of eternal and fading traces, and the relation between the things that last and those which get lost. She see photography as a possible threshold between various realities, the existence, the dream and poetry.
