DELPHINE BEDEL (NL)

Delphine Bedel works as photographer, curator and publisher, special- ized in emerging publishing practice in photography, art and design. She is currently doing her PhD Researcher at Leiden University/PhD Arts. She regularly contributes to books and magazines, and is a frequent speaker in international conferences and seminars. Her work has been shown at Centre Pompidou, Paris, Secession Vienna, and De Lakenhal Museum, Leiden. Her artistic and research-based practice involves doc- umentary photography and writing. She is the author of ‘All that is Solid Melts into Air – Notes on Tourism’ (2008).
In 2009, she founded Monospace Press, a publishing studio focused on publishing innovative photography and graphic design projects. Monospace Press activities range from editorial consulting, custom publishing, research projects and curating lecture series, workshops and events. The 60 award winning editions are part of museum and private collections and exhibited internationally. Her current curatorial practice focuses on publishing as an artistic practice, which is also the topic of her PhD research.
