Stephane Leonard (DE) & Claudio Pfeifer (DE)

Stephane Leonard is a multi disciplinary artist mainly working in the fields of drawing and video. Different genres overlap and cross reference in Stephane ́s work. Drawings become ideas for videos, video stills influence drawings. Stephane's minimalistic drawings as well as the extensive use of lights, shadows, smoke and fireworks in his videos have become his very own aesthetic and unique language. Stephane's drawings have been exhibited around the globe. Many of his video ideas were incorporated in music videos which have given him recognition; the 2007 Video Art Prize from the city of Bremen, as well as an award of excellence at 2011 Los Angeles Movie Awards. 

Claudio Pfeifer works in different fields of the visual arts. After studying photography & video at the University of the Arts Bremen, he moved to Berlin to study cinematography at the German film school. His photographic work is not only abstract but constructed and is always between moving and still images. He has shot several experimental short-films, documentaries and also worked as a director of photography on several feature films and music videos. Since 2010 Claudio has been publishing art-books and zines with an emphasis on photography under the name PogoBooks.

In 2003 Stephane and Claudio founded the ‘naivsuper’ collective. ‘naivsuper’ stands for their collective output as artists, filmmakers, book and music publishers.
