Ivan Seal (UK)

Between 1992-1995 Ivan Seal attended Sheffield Hallam University. Maybe it’s a truism of all artists to say that they create their own worlds. In the case of Ivan Seal this idea seems particularly apposite in that his paintings of almost familiar and yet quite strange forms are entirely improvised without recourse to existing objects or pho- tographs. Recent exhibitions include; komplexraum#1, with Henrik Strömerg, General Public, Berlin (2012); “Frauge” Carl Freedman Gallery, London (2012); “Thrill” Ancienne Douane, Strasbourg (2012) “the object hurts the space”, RaebervonStenglin, Zurich (2011); Ivan Seal, Carl Freedman Gallery, London (2011); “True as applied to you, false as applied to you”, Krome Gallery, Berlin (2011). Ivan Seal is represented by Carl Freedman Gallery, London and RaebervonStenglin, Zurich.

Ivan has worked with PICTURE BERLIN since 2010.
