Elizabeth Lee Freedman recently received her BA from Pitzer College, Los Angeles where she explored photography as a performative process. She enjoys archival accidents and social experiments, and often utilizes self- publishing to pursue these interests in collaborative settings. In addition to her studio practice, she organizes programs for elementary schools that partner with Native American communities to teach how participatory media can be utilized as a tool to share stories and build intercultural understanding. Originally from Washington D.C., she has received awards in recognition of her work from Youth Leadership Greater Washington, Pitzer College, Anderson Ranch Arts Center, and the Society for Photographic Education.
