Geoffrey Garrison studied visual art at Cooper Union in New York City and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 2004 and 2005 Garrison was a Fine Arts Researcher at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, the Netherlands, and, from 2007–2008, a fellow at Künstlerhaus Büchsenhausen in Innsbruck, Austria. Garrison's work concentrates on narrative forms and the relationship between images and language. In addition to the visual arts, Garrison has performed internationally in choreographic and performance works and published writing and criticism. He writes and performs music with Alice Chauchat as The Musts.
