Ingo Gerken (DE)

Ingo Gerken originally from Lippetal/Germany and lives and works in Berlin. Between 1995-2000 he studied at Muthesius-Acadamy of Fine Art and Design in Kiel/Germany and the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland. In 2005 he co-founded the artspace WestGermany (Off-Office for postpostmodern Communication) in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Last year he received the Fine Art Grant from the State of Berlin. Recent exhibitions include “Born After 1924”, at Castlefield Gallery Manchester, “Elementary” at Städtische Galerie Kircheim in Teck and “When Attitude Becomes Norm”, at Apex Kunstverein, in Göttingen. Ingo’s latest works have been part of exhibitions e.g. at Neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst, Berlin, Arts on Main, Johannesburg, Mains d’Oeuvre, Paris, and MicaMoca, Berlin. Ingo Gerken is represented by Galeria Pianissimo, Milan and Gitte Weise Gallery, Sydney.
