After finishing her studies, Ella Ziegler at the Burg Giebichenstein Universitiy of Art and Design in Halle and The Glasgow School of Art in Scotland she has focused on site-specific interventions in urban space. Ella has participated in international exhibitions and projects, the more recent being: “Pica Pica”, Deutsche Börse Residency Programm, Frankfurt / Main, (2010); “Angst hat grosse Augen”, Werkleitz Gesellschaft e.V., Halle / Saale, (2009); “Selected Artists”, Berlin Senate Scholarshipholders’ show at NGBK Berlin; “see 3”, at the Montags Bar at the Temporäre Kunsthalle, Berlin, (2008); “ON Projetto” in Bologna, Italy; “Diskurs im Grünen”, at the Kunstverein Neuenkirchen. She was awarded a year long Stiftung Kunstfonds Scholarship in 2010 and a Berlin Senate Scholar- ship for Fine Arts in 2009. Ella has taught in Switzerland at the ECAV/ Ecole Cantonale d’Art du Valais and at the University of Kassel, in the department of Architecture. In the beginning of 2011, she became a full professor at the University of Fine Arts in Kassel, Germany. She currently lives and works in Berlin.
