Lise Harlev (DK)

Lise Harlev's work explores the formation of identity and the factors that help construct this feeling of identity, be it nationality, intimate relationships or political views. Though her work has taken on such different forms as silkscreen prints, enamel signs and slide projections, it has always drawn aesthetically on graphic design and explored how a subjective content is expressed with an aesthetic designed for the public. Harlev’s work has been included in exhibitions such as “Manifesta 4”, in Frank- furt am Main, (2002); “Momentum”, Moss, (2004); “I don’t always agree”, Galleria Maze in Turin, (2005); “I (Ich)/Performative Ontology”, at Secession in Vienna, (2006); “Terms of Use”, at Centro Cultural Montehermoso in Vitoria, (2008); “Liquid Frontiers” at Tri Postal in Lille, (2009); “Watchmen, Liars and Dreamers” at Frac Ile-de-France/ Le Plateau in Paris, (2010) and “What I am told about the past” at Galerija Miroslav in Kraljevic, Zagreb, (2011). Lisa lives and works in Berlin.

Lise participated in PB in Summer Session 2010 and Summer Session 2017.
