Silvia Bonsiepe (DE)

Silvia Bonsiepe did an apprenticeship at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, assisting Nicolaus Schafhausen from 1996-1997. She studied Cultural and American studies at Humboldt University in Berlin from 1997-2004 graduating with an MA. In 2000 Silvia went to the Institute of Liberal Arts at Emory University, Atlanta (USA) on a DAAD-scholarship for one year. From 2002-2004 she worked as one of the organizers of the independent project space “augenblick – raum für gegenwartskunst” in Berlin. In 2003 Silvia began her studies at the post-graduate program, Institute for Arts and Media Administration, receiving an MA in 2005. During this time she became involved with the artist-run project space (Produzentengalerie) ‘Amerika’, where she later became co-director in 2006. In 2007 Silvia and her colleague Sebastian Klemm co-founded KLEMM’S gallery in Berlin.
