Holly Veselka (US)

Holly Veselka has exhibited her work internationally and received recognitions including a 2020 Chenven Foundation Grant, a 2019-21 Artist Studio Program Residency at Lawndale in Houston, TX, and a 2019 Launch Pad Fellowship with the architectural firm Studio Modo and the city of Austin, TX. Most recently, she was selected by the McNay Art Museum (San Antonio, TX) and Shetland Arts (Scotland, UK) to create an online artwork about extraction economies. The artwork will be presented in conjunction with COP26—the UN climate change conference in Glasgow, November 2021. Holly has exhibited at ACRE Projects in Chicago, IL, conducted visual research at the Mammal Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the Białowieza Forest, Poland, and participated in the 2nd Annual Digital Naturalism Conference in Gamboa, Panama. Holly previously managed the Estate of Benny Andrews and the art publishing imprint Paper Monument in Brooklyn, NY. She moved to San Marcos, TX in 2016 where she is an Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Design at Texas State University.
