Laura Horelli’s works explore the intersection and overlapping of the private and public spheres. She is interested in seeing whether curi- osity, identification and understanding can be communicated through art, despite the all encompassing spectacle. In the last years she has worked primarily with experimental documentary video. Since 2000 she has participated in several exhibitions, including Venice Biennale (2001, 2009), Manifesta 5, Donostia, San Sebastian (2004), Galerie im Tax- ispalais, Innsbruck (2004) and had solo exhibitions at Galerie Barbara Weiss, Berlin (2003, 2007, 2011). She was a visiting professor for moving image at the University of Fine Arts, Berlin in 2007. In 2011 she received the Hannah Höch Younger Artist Prize from the city of Berlin.
Laura has been working with PICTURE BERLIN since 2012.
