Parker Tilghman (b. 1986) received his BFA in Photography with a concentration in Visual Studies from the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, California (2012). His work is primarily an investigation of the dying aspects of the photographic medium, while exploring and creating new queer histories. Several of Tilghman's images were included in the Craft/Forward Symposium (2011), an event produced in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco and CCA. He is a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Grant in 2010 and 2011, and the CCA All College Honors Award. Tilghman's reviews and writings on art can be seen regularly in ArtSlant and The San Francisco Bay Guardian. Since PICTURE BERLIN, Parker moved to Berlin in 2015 where he is currently living and working.
