Dylan Culhane (ZA)

Dylan Culhane (b. 1981) is a Cape Town based photographer and curator who co­directs MUSEUM Photographic Art Gallery in Salt River, Cape Town. He holds a degree in Film, Media & Visual Studies from the University of Cape Town (UCT), as well as a B.A. in Cinematogra­phy from the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Perfor­ mance (AFDA). He just completed his M.A. in Media Theory and Practice at UCT, where he runs seminars on Photo­ journalism for undergradu­ate students. Dylan is also the former editor of both one small seed and VICE magazine, and is the founder and photographic director of JRNL, a new online magazine experi­ment documenting contemporary African culture. His work has been exhibi­ted in Cape Town, Johan­nesburg, Beijing, Zesit, and London, where he is represented by EB&Flow Gallery.
