Amanda Coimbra (b. 1989) in Brasilia, Brazil. She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2011.

Her work has been exhibited in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, and the United States. Her interest in photography consists in subverting and challenging the medium and its boundaries in order to address intangible subject matter such as memory. She is currently based in Rio de Janeiro.
