Laurie Jane Polson (BE)

Laurie Jane Polson (b. 1984) spent her formative years in Germany then moved to Belgium in 1996. While doing volunteer work in Costa Rica, Laurie first came into contact with photography. On her return to Brussels, she studied photography at the world­ renowned École Supérieu­re Communale des Arts de l‘Image, Le 75, where she completed her diploma in photography in 2006. This institute developed and deepened her love of photography. During her studies and afterwards, she participated in nume­rous collective exhibi­tions, e.g. at the Biennale of photography, Liege, Belgium (2010, 2008); the Sablon in Pierre Hallet’s Gallery, Brussels, Belgium (2007); La Monnaie The- atre, Brussels, Belgium (2006); Nei Liicht Gallery, Luxembourg (2006). She most recently did a residency in Suriname where she completed an extensive body of work.
